Ceremony of the Nine Angles

N.B. This ritual was originally written by Dr. LaVey within the "The Satanic Rituals" as a group-based ritual.
I have retooled it for solitary ritual use. It is the first part of a multi-part "Lovecraftian mythos" ritual cycle, to be performed over a year or more time in progression. I performed this particular ritual on Walpurgisnacht 2005. I will caution that when performed properly this is quite a long ritual for a solitary working and may leave you rather drained.. I suggest, that you do the ritual, try to do so with a ritual robe with a hood. During the section where the part of Shub Niggurath is spoken, then raise the hood to cover the head.
The next part is the Ritual to Dagon. However, I am still working on the outline at this time.

The Baphomet statue as Shub Niggurath is veiled with a black cloth.
Illumination: Black Flame bowl only. If further illumination is required, a green or blacklight that is partially concealed is recommended.

In nomine Dei Nostri Satanas Luciferi excelsi!
Greetings to the Lords of Hell!
We call on you now while the moon is hidden in the night sky!
I will go down to the altars in Hell.

To Satan, the giver of life. Provide us pleasure, Prince of Darkness, and help us fulfill our lusts and desires. I greet you all in the name of our Prince. Let his legions Gather to witness this, our Satanic rite!

The Invocation to Satan - In the name of Satan, the Ruler of the Earth, Lord of this World, I now ask the Forces of Darkness to bestow their Infernal Power upon me. Grant me that which I desire! Open wide the Gates of Hell and come forth from the abyss and greet me as your brother. Grant me the indulgences I now ask!
I have taken thy Name as a part of myself, I live as the beasts in the fields rejoicing in the fleshly life.

By all of the Great Lords of Hell I ask thee to come forth!
Arise! Move and Appear!
Zodacare od Zodameranu!
Grant me now the indulgences of which I speak!
Welcome, say I unto the Lords of Hell and call them to my Infernal Rite!

(Begin by standing holding your sword, or dagger and turn counter-clockwise.)
Turn to the South. Hail and Welcome to you Satan , I summon you with the element of Fire.
Turn to the East. Hail and Welcome to you bright Lucifer, I summon you with the element of Air.
Turn to the North. Hail and Welcome to you Belial, he who is without a master, I summon you with the element of Earth.
Turn to the West. Hail and Welcome to you mighty Leviathan, I summon you from the watery abyss with the element of Water.

Our friend and companion of the night; thou who rejoicest in the baying of dogs and spilt blood. Thou who wanderest in the midst of the shade of the tombs, thou who longest for blood and bringest terror to mortals.
Gorgo! Mormo!
O thousand faced moon look favorably upon our sacrifices.

Shemhamforash!
Hail Satan!

Open wide the gates and come ye forth by these names!

Left hand is raised in the Voorish sign (the sign of the Horns.)

Let us do honor to Azathoth, without whose laughter this world should not be.
Honor to Azathoth!
Azathoth, great center of the cosmos, let thy mad flutes sing unto us, lulling us against the terror of thy domain. Thy merriment sustains our fears, and we rejoice in the World of Horrors in they name.
Honor to Azathoth, without whose laughter this world should not be.

(Left hand is lowered, then the sign of the Horns is made with the right hand.)

Let us do honor to Yog-Sothoth, without whose sign we ourselves should not be.

Honor to Yog-Sothoth!

Yog-Sothoth master of dimensions, through thy will are we set upon the World of Horrors. Faceless one, guide us through the night of thy creation, that we may behold the Bond of the Angles and the promise of thy will.
Honor to Yog-Sothoth, without whose sign we ourselves should not be.
(Both arms raised at sharp angles, making a "y' shape)

The Daemons are, the Daemons were, and the Daemons shall be again. They came, and we are here: they sleep, and we watch for them. They shall sleep and we shall die, but we shall return through them. We are their dreams, and they shall awaken. Hail to the ancient dreams. (Facing altar now.)

I call now to the unsleeping one, the black herald Nyarlathotep, who assureth the bond between the living and the dead. Hail Nyarlathotep! O dark one, who rideth the winds of the Abyss and cryeth the night gaunts between the living and the dead, send us to the Old One, of the World of Horrors, whose word we honor unto the end of the deathless sleep.

Hail Nyarlathotep!

Hail to thee, black prince from the grotto whose charge we bear. Hail to thee and thy fathers, within whose fane thou laugh and scream in terror and in merriment, in fear and in ecstasy, in loneliness and in anger, upon the whim of thy will. Hail Nyarlathotep, Prince of the Abyss! In thy name let us behold the father. Let the Old One who reigneth upon the World of Horrors come and speak with us, for we would again strengthen the bond that liveth within the angles of the Path of the Left.

(Facing altar, fists clenched, cross both hands, left over right against the chest.)

(As an altenate step one may light incense at this point, also a dark pipe organ piece in the background will add to the atmosphere)

Hail Shub-Niggurath, father of the World of Horrors. Hail, father of the hornless ones. Hail, ram of the Sun and deathless one, who sleepest not while we honor thy name and thy bond.
Hail Shub-Niggurath! Behold his glory! (The Goat of a Thousand Young is unveiled)

Hail father!

Shub-Niggurath: (Head is hooded, move to one side of altar, it is recommended that you speak the words quite ceremoniously, slowly and sonorously, almost "growling" whilst speaking the words.)

I am that I am. Through the angles I speak with the hornless ones, and I pledge anew the bond of the Daemons, through whose will this world is come to be. Let us speak of the bond of the Nine Angles.

Priest: (Head is unhooded, slowly and deliberately move to alternate side of altar)

Hail father and lord of the angles, master of the World of Horrors.

We speak the Bond of the Nine Angles to honor the flutes of the laughing one, the master of dimensions, the herald of the barrier and the Goat of a Thousand Young.

From the First Angle is the infinite, wherein the laughing one doth cry and the mad flutes wail until the ending of time.

From the Second Angle is the master who doth order the planes and the angles, and who hath conceived the World of Horror in its terror and glory.

From the Third Angle is the messenger, who hath created thy power to behold the master of the World of Horrors, who giveth to thee substance of being and knowledge of the Nine Angles.

From the Fourth Angle is the ram of the Sun, who brought thyselves to be, who endureth on the World of Horrors and proclaimeth the time that was, the time that is, and the time that shall be; and whose name is the brilliance of the Nine Angles.

From the Fifth Angle are the hornless ones, who raise the temple of the five trihedrons unto the Daemons of creation, whose seal is at once four and five and nine.

From the Sixth Angle is the sleep of the Daemons in symmetry, which doth vanquish the five but shall not prevail against the four and nine.

From the Seventh Angle is the ruin of symmetry and the awakening of the Daemons, for the four and the nine shall prevail against the six.

From the Eighth Angle are Masters of the Realm, who raise the temple of the eight trihedrons unto the the Daemons of creation, whose seal is at once four and five and nine.

From the Ninth Angle is the flame of the beginning and the ending of dimensions, which blazeth in brilliance and darkness unto the glory of desire.

(Here, keep focused on each spoken part, and move very slowly and deliberately. You dont want to "dash" from one side to the other)

Shub-Niggurath: I pledge the bond of the Daemons, through whose will this world is come to be.

Priest: We honor the bond upon the World of Horrors.

Shub-Niggurath: Hail to the hornless ones.

Priest: Hail to thee Shub-Niggurath, father of the World of Horrors.

Shub-Niggurath: Unto the beginning and ending of dimensions.

Priest: Unto the beginning and ending of dimensions.

(The Goat of a Thousand Young is again veiled)

Priest: The gaunts are loose upon the world and we shall not pass; but the time will come when the gaunts will bow before us, and man shall speak with the tongues of the hornless ones.

The way is Yog-Sothoth and the key is Nyarlathotep.
Nyarlathotep is the avatar of Yog-Sothoth
Hail, Yog-Sothoth. Hail, Nyarlathotep.
Hail to the mighty Old Ones and Daemons that I have summoned forth and now release.

Hold forth your dagger or sword.

Turn to the West. Say: Hail Leviathan, I now release you with Water.
Turn to the North. Say: Hail Belial, I now release you with Earth.
Turn to the East. Say: Hail Lucifer, I now release you with Air.
Turn to the South. Say: Hail Satan, I now release you with Fire.

Sanctus Satanas, Sanctus Dominus Diabolus Sabaoth.
Satanas - venire!
Satanas - venire!
Ave, Satanas, ave Satanas.
Tui sunt caeli, Tua est terra, Ave Satanas!

Now drain the chalice of the remainder of the elixir of ecstasy.

Make the voorish sign (il cornuto) with your left hand and say:
By the power of my will, and in the name of Satan, so be it!
